What data we process and why

Enquiry form and e-mail

When you write to us via the form or by e-mail, we process your name, e-mail address, phone number (if provided), company name and the content of your message. The purpose is to handle your enquiry and negotiate a possible collaboration (performance of a contract or steps prior to entering into one, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep the data for the duration of the negotiations and then for up to 3 years in case of follow-up communication or the defence of our legal claims; data from a contractual relationship is kept for the period required by accounting and tax law.

Website analytics

We measure website traffic with our own tool, without cookies and without passing data to third parties (legitimate interest in operating and improving the website, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We store data on pages viewed, the source of the visit, clicks, time on page and the device used (window width, language). Visitors are distinguished only by a fingerprint that changes daily, created by one-way hashing of the IP address, browser and date with a salt – the IP address is not stored, the fingerprint cannot be reversed and it is different the next day. The data is kept for 13 months in aggregated form.

YouTube videos

Videos on this website are loaded from YouTube (Google) in cookie-free mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and only after you click play. From that moment the Google Privacy Policy applies.

Who we share data with

The data can be accessed by our web and e-mail hosting provider and by the website administrator ELHACOM (Petr Hájek, elhacom.cz), who maintains the website technically and has access to its administration; both process the data only on our instructions. We do not transfer data outside the EU.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have:

• the right to access, rectify or erase your data,
• the right to restrict processing and the right to object,
• the right to data portability,
• the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz).
